It pains me to list some of my favorite little bikes but they’ve been sitting for too long with no prospect of me restoring them. If you’re not familiar with the Trail 55, they were the predecessor of the CT200 and then the CT90 that is so beloved. There is a long story about these being birthed by a dealer stripping the plastic and muffler off of a Honda Cub to make irrigating bikes and American Honda liking the idea.

These bikes are small push rod single cylinders with a downdraft carburetor. With the overlay rear sprockets you could go from a fast walking pace to a slow walking pace. Two of the bikes were running and driving twenty years ago when they went into storage. Three others have the engines siezed. At least two spare frames with parts and some miscellaneous bits and engines are included.

Two of these should pop off again with the usual barn find treatment. I have at least one title and I’ll dig for more.

Last Chance Cycles is selling out. For about what a GT750 would bring in perfect condition or maybe the price of a beautiful H1 Kawasaki, I’d sell the works.
