Position Summary:
The Emergency Mitigation Technician (EMT)provides disaster response services to our Customers for property damage following water damage, fire and smoke damage, mould, biohazards, vandalism and other disaster events. Responsibilities include but are not limited to mitigation, drying, remediation, demolition, debris removal, cleaning, documentation and other duties assigned.

Performance Objectives
Support the PTL & understand the Chain of Command
Equipment maintenance: Ensuring that equipment such as dehumidifiers and extractors are properly maintained and in good working condition.
Water extraction efficiency: The effectiveness of removing water from the property using specialized equipment.
Response time: How quickly the technician can respond to a water damage emergency or service request.
Health and safety compliance: Adherence to health and safety regulations while carrying out restoration work.
Completion time: The time taken to complete water extraction, drying, and restoration tasks.
Moisture level monitoring: Ensuring that moisture levels in affected areas are brought back to acceptable levels.
Mold prevention: Ensuring that the property is thoroughly dried to prevent mold growth.
Customer satisfaction: Feedback from customers on the quality of service provided by the technician.

Education and Experience
Must have a valid drivers license
Required to be available and respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, as scheduled or on official call as required
Consistently maintain high levels of excellent customer satisfaction as exhibited by customer surveys, comments, and feedback
Basic construction knowledge and understanding of residential homebuilding
Physical Requirements
Reasonable level of physical fitness with no health issues that would interfere with the physical demands and/or conditions of the work environments customary for this type of work
Able to work for extended periods of time in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
