Northwest Fire Services is seeking a full-time shop laborer with mechanical skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will help work on fire equipment, troubleshooting on a variety of equipment and machinery, shop maintenance, tracking where parts are in the shop, and general grounds keeping/shop tidiness for everyday operation. There will be travel involved to help with pump testing and/or to fire departments helping them with fire truck maintenance issues onsite. This role requires both physical stamina and technical ability to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine labor duties such as parts handling, site cleanup, and assisting other team members.
• Help in the repair of mechanical equipment including tools, vehicles, and machinery.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure all equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with company standards.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in general labor and basic mechanical repair.
• Ability to multi-task and be organized on various tasks.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
• Have the ability to travel.
