Two year old Sable doe in milk with her doeling. Sunny kidded May 7 with a single doeling and is a first freshener. Picture of her udder after a 12-hour fill. Happy to come to the milk stand and easy to milk. She gives about a pint on one a day milking.

Doeling is half sable and half guernsey- the guernsey half comes from heavy milking lines.

We introduced a couple of sables to our herd last year, and I just don’t love them as much as my alpines and guernseys, so they won’t continue in our breeding.
