I am looking for a safe, dependable horse to help rebuild my confidence after a riding accident several years ago. The horse must be able to comfortably carry an adult rider and have a calm, forgiving temperament.
I am not looking for a project, a green horse, or anything hot, reactive, or spooky. My ideal horse would be well broke, sensible, easy to handle, and happy with relaxed riding and trail riding. Good ground manners and the ability to ride alone or with others would be a big plus.
I would strongly prefer a sound, healthy horse with no significant maintenance requirements. An older horse is absolutely welcome, provided the horse is sound, suitable, and priced appropriately.
My budget is flexible for the right horse and will depend on the horse’s age, training, soundness, temperament, and overall suitability.
