Bruno is a 2009 Draft x Quarter Horse gelding standing around 16.2h with a strong ranch background and a kind, gentle nature. He’s been there and done that when it comes to trail riding, ranch work, and everyday horse life. Bruno has smooth transitions, a nice handle, neck reins, and is happiest with a calm, confident rider who values partnership and consistency.
Bruno has been introduced to natural horsemanship since coming to us, and he has responded incredibly well to patient, gentle handling. He’s a smart horse that truly wants to connect with his person. He especially seems to bond closely with women and kids and enjoys quiet one-on-one attention, grooming, and groundwork.
Like many sensitive horses, Bruno can get spooky at times, so he is not suited for a complete beginner or a rough rider. He does best with someone experienced, soft-handed, and consistent who will continue building his confidence. In the right home, Bruno is the kind of horse that becomes a loyal partner and trusted companion.
Bruno gets along well with other horses, loads and unloads respectfully, and is easy to have around the barn. He has an old scar and normal pasture marks but nothing affecting his soundness or rideability.
He will need a tune-up, as I haven’t been able to work with him consistently for the past few weeks, so he is being sold as a horse best suited for someone experienced who understands bringing one back into regular work.
Bruno would make a wonderful fit for someone looking for a versatile gelding with a good foundation, a gentle heart, and the potential to become an exceptional partner through trust and consistency.
