Louise is a lovely 50% jersey (her dam came from Lifeline Dairy)and 50% tip top quality Black angus with high milk production. Her Black Angus grandmother is still a top producer in my herd as a 10 yr old cow. I still have to milk her twice a day for 2 wks every year after calving til her calf catches up to her milk quantity! Louise is a 1st calf heifer and has done a top notch job of raising her calf Evelyn as well as giving us delicious milk. She has been hand milked as well as machine milked. She has perfect hand milking teats if your a fan of milking without a machine. She is the perfect little homestead cow. Smaller framed as well as beefy build. She will raise excellent quality beef calves. Her heifer was born Jan. 21st and is healthy and robust. Calf sharing works well with her. Lock her calf up for 5-6 hours and she produces a gallon of milk or more depending on feed protein, etc. Her calf Evelyn is out of a gorgeous excellent quality black/Whiteface bull who was simm/angus so she'll produce some excellent beef calves as well. She is familiar with hobbles and very easy to manage, she can be a bit sassy and silly at times but she's a heifer! She could also raise an extra calf if that's what you'd like she would just need tied and hobbled at feeding time. She is an all natural cow has not been dewormed with chemical dewormers since last fall or vaccinated since last spring at pasture turnout. I'm happy to do these before you take her or keep her natural. She is very healthy and has excellent body condition while milking and nursing her calf.
