This 21 speed Mongoose is one of their IBOC (International Bike of Champions!) series. This 21" (seat tube length) Comp version has a superb cro-mo Tange steel frame which is light and very tough! This bike also uses a rigid fork crafted from 4130 cro-mo steel which is straight with an elegant taper at the front axle. Components on this bike are primarily the excellent Shimano LX Mountain group: derailleurs, brakes, shifters, hubs, and crank. The bearings roll beautifully; the bike shifts and brakes flawlessly, and it is nicely balanced! The 26" wheels are made in Japan Araya RM-17, and the tires are the really nice Schwalbe 26 x 2.2 Black Jacks. This bike rides beautifully and will excel in a multitude of applications!
