condition: excellent
This I was told is somewhat rare and most definitely a survivor. This mica axle grease bucket would have hung on the rear of covered wagons etc. and when the axle got to squeaking they would grease it with this MICA grease which i was told was the best there was.It is in very good condition for being as old as it is and certainly a one of a kind. There are no holes in it and only a small Crack on the outer edge of the lid and of course all around the edges of the lid you can see evidence of normal use were they pried up the lid to get to the grease. If only this thing could talk. One of a kind!! It says on the lid STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA.In the middle of the lid it says MIca Axle Grease.Offered at $215.00.Cash only of course. Thanks for looking.
