This model of the Morso wood stove from Denmark has been made since about the 1950's and is still being made today in a more efficient model that runs about $3000. This is an older model, but I am not sure just how old. It does not have the stainless steel secondary combustion tubes inside, reducing it's efficiency compared to new ones.
It is a beautiful stove that some collectors desire. It has been in storage for awhile, but looks really great when cleaned up. The cast iron is in great shape except for around one of the holes in one of the legs where it bolts to the bottom of the stove. Someone that owned it before me over-tightened the bolt which broke away a piece of the flange around the hole. I used a large washer to make the leg hold and it has never moved since. It isn't visible unless you lay down and look underneath.
It certainly could still be used, but you may want to replace the steel plates inside which can be made at Pacific Steel. I have had them make several similar plates for me to use inside of wood and pellet stoves for not too much money. Please let me know if you have questions. The stove is supposed to heat 1200-1500 square feet and fits a 17" log.
